The advanced beginner student has had at least 2 years experience in Flamenco and understands the concepts of posture, arm, and hand positions. Building on these concepts we will explore connecting all these components to larger phrases and whole dance, concentrating on por Solea por Bulerias palo (rhythm family).
Soleá (Soleares) por Buleriás is a Solea with the pace and drive of a Bulerías. Often considered a hybrid form, Soléa por bulerías (also called Soleares por bulerías) is more like a point on the continuum between Soleares and Bulerías. There are resources that state quite definitely that it is a sped up soleares and others that make it clear that it’s a slowed down bulerías. It is often a palo associated with determination, anger and fortitude!
We will study different palmas to this palo and Incorporate footwork technique with arms and body and incorporate all the basic beginner technique principles building to creating a full dance.
