Alejandro Granados

Alejandro Sainz Granados was born in Madrid in 1961. His initial training was in ballet and he began his career in Zaragoza, where he was trained by famed ballet teacher Maria de Avila.

He continued his learning with Paco Fernandez and Manolo Marin. From 1987 to 1990 he performed with the National Ballet of Spain, where he stood out as a choreographer. He also danced as a soloist with the Spanish Ballet in Madrid. He spent three seasons at the Salzburg Festival in Vienna under the direction of Von Karajan. 

Granados has worked in plays such as “Yerma”, directed by Nuria Espert (1996), “Picasso flamenco” (1996), and “A nuestro aire” (1998). For many years he has been running his own dance company in addition to appearing as a guest artist and choreographer with Noche Flamenca. Granados is a master teacher and has traveled throughout the world teaching at various universities.
